Our
Castile soap is made to a very old traditional Spanish castile recipe.
Castile
soap was produced for centuries as 100% olive oil soap, though many now
sell their castile bars with only a small portion of olive oil.

soap is safe to use on sentsitive skins and is a great product to use
instead

The
ingredients we use to make our soap base are olive oil, water and lye.
We also add essential oils and or fragrance oils. Some bars may contain
abrasives such as powdered pumice but contain no added colour.
When
our soap has hardened enough, we cut it by hand (sometimes not exactly
straight!) Then it is left on curing racks for at least four weeks,
during
this time the lye solution dissipates so we are left with the final bar
of fragrant olive oil. We then package it in beautiful hand made paper
for you to enjoy.
Our
soap has a rustic appearance with irregularities, bumps and grooves
which
all add to its character and to enhance the fact it is made by our own
hands.
